Yes, wool felt has limitations, but I personally do not believe that all wool felting work needs to look like it survived the age of Woodstock! I enjoyed the information in the book, but felt that had it gone just a bit further into designs less conventional it would have truly been a great book. What I did take away from this book was the 'how to' do something, and armed with that information I will venture down the road less traveled in wool felt work and see if I can create something a bit more refined and less 'hemp hippy' inspired. She's been teaching me to felt and this book has far more usable projects than any other I've found. I already had all of the tools and even knew a little bit about wet felting but this book takes you through all of the felting processes and does it in an easy to follow manner. The pages are laid out in a 'learn as you go' progression and offer current and fun projects so you get to peek ahead and dream about what projects you'll want to try.
