It was beautiful and well worth the effort. We were proud of our efforts, learned a lot about using special bolts etc. Directions were extremely good. I cracked a board and was missing a few hardware item so I called the company that sold it (as the suggest in the directions) and they special delivered the replacements in time for our grandchildren's vacation. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: How many bags of sand do i need?**
A: We used about 4 or 5 bags of sand we got from Lowes.  It seemed to fill it up nice and accounted for some of the sand that ended up out of the sandbox while they were playing.  Also, I recommend getting the regular sand.  The white sand does not blend in well with the ground around the sandbox when it gets spilled over.

**Q: How much sand 50 lbs bags does it hold to fill it up to the fullest?**
A: We used 6 50 lbs bags...

**Q: Could I fit a toddler bed in there? My son really loves boats**
A: I don't think a toddler mattress would fit inside but a bunch of pillows might be fun. May be too wide for a mattress.

**Q: Is there a bottom?**
A: no it dosent. but it makes it easier to move . we just put plastic down . we have had ours about 3 years now. cover the sand so animals dont poop in it. also in the winter cover the whole thing. keeps the paint nicer. one winter we moved it into the garage and put beans in it and the kids loved to dig in there .

We were proud of our efforts, learned a lot about using special bolts etc. Directions were extremely good. I cracked a board and was missing a few hardware item so I called the company that sold it (as the suggest in the directions) and they special delivered the replacements in time for our grandchildren's vacation. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great addition for our backyard

We love KidKraft products and didn't hesitate to order this one for our children. It's colorful, durable and was easy enough for one adult to assemble in less than 2 hours. There is enough sitting space in the sand area for our 4 year old and our 18 month old and I love that it is lined with plastic. It's big, but definitely not overwhelming - and goes great with our primary color playset. My only complaint was that 2 pieces were damaged, 1 part was missing and the hardware box was completely cut openned when the sandbox arrived. Luckily I was able to sort out the screws and bolts and the missing/broken pieces did not prevent me from assembling the boat. I received 2 replacement parts 3 days after my online order and am confident the 3rd will arrive soon. If not, I'll call customer service and am sure they will help me.
