It provides the cleaning, you need to be sure you have the right heat for the bond. **Q: What kind of shelf life does it have, when is the expiration date?** A: I think it is almost all inorganic chemicals. Not sure why it would have much of a shelf life, but maybe the manufacturer has some info. I looked over the MSDS and there was nothing there that raised concerns about changes over time. I guess it could dry out if you left the top off.
