English Leather Curb Chain Quality leather curb chain strap for use with a curb bit such as an English pelham, kimblewick or with a double bridle.  It should be adjusted so that it lies comfortably in the chin groove and comes into play when the tension on the curb rein increases.  The curb chain enables proper use of the curb bit by enhancing and controlling the lever action of the bit, while keeping it steady and in place in the mouth.  The centre ring is for the lip strap to pass through.  Made by Killucan Saddlers Ireland.  Sizes Pony: Overall length is 6.75 inches. The leather part measures 4.5 inches.  Cob: Overall length is 7.75 inches. The leather part measures 5.5 inches. Horse: Overall length is 9 inches. The leather part measures 7 inches. Colors Available in a choice of black or brown leather (dark brown).

I bought a cob and a warmblood size. It's nicely made. Would give it 5 stars if the sizing wasn't off: The cob size chain strap fits my warmbloods (jumpers) perfectly, but the longer chain strap is way too long! I guess I'd have to buy pony size of I wanted to use it on my Quarter Horses.
