Its going to be too frustrating to return this product so I'm just going to leave a warning for future buyers. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT! I couldn’t be more satisfied! The seat is so plush and everything assembled together perfectly. It does not feel like it is made for a heavy person but it would probably support up to 250 lbs, and I saw another review saying how it was too short but it looks pretty normal sized compared to the art horse benches we have at my school. I love it and will recommend this product to any artist, I saved so much money from buying an expensive art store easel and I feel like the stainless steel made this a 10x better purchase. UPDATE: I have been using this for a little over 4 months now, and aside for the one screw that stripped out, this product has stood up to some heavy use. As a freelance artist, I spend several hours each day using this bench, and it has not become unstable or rickety. The adjustable media rest is awesome, it lets you reposition the angle of your working platform easily. Would I suggest this to aspiring artists - Yes I would. If you take any illustration or art class, you will find artist horses in the class room. This product offers an affordable way for you to recreate that environment at home. It is also small enough to put away in a closet when not in use.
