When I put on this brace and tighten it comfortably, I'm able to do nearly all the things I used to do before my back started having debilitating issues. The ability to tighten the brace more, or loosen it as needed, are very helpful, and allow me to easily adjust it based on what kind of day I'm having (good back day? looser. bad back day? tighter!). To explain my particular case a little : my lower back muscles, particularly on the right side just above the pelvic bone, are constantly tense in an effort to maintain the lumbar curvature and allow good upper torso support. Sometimes, when the muscles become too fatigued, they'll fail and my back will go out and I'll be stuck on the floor for several hours before I can get up again. The muscles are constantly sore. When I put the brace on, the soreness either goes away completely, or is greatly reduced. While the product itself is beginning to come apart (not threadbare or velcro, just the rubber/glue holding the boning in place), I think it's lasted very well for it's low price and how much it's been used - I've been wearing it every day for several months, typically 10 to 16 hours a day. Stays in place well, even during long walks.
