My prime rib comes out perfectly medium rare every time. The alternative is opening the oven door every 10 minutes and checking with an instant read thermometer... not really an alternative. I'd give it 5 stars except for a few things that could be improved.1. Defaults to Centigrade every time it's turned on. I wish it would stay on Fahrenheit, but it's very easy to switch it.2. The preset doneness temperatures are ridiculous. 140 for rare? That's medium well to me. Well done is set at 170. That's burn to a cinder! You must manually set the proper temperature for the doneness you want. Medium-rare for me is127 F. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product! I've tried the mechanical ones, the electronic forks, you name it, I've tried it. This is the best, BY FAR! Just this week I had to roast two turkey breast roasts in the same oven for Thanksgiving. My Supreme Home Cook Wireless Thermometer comes with two probes. I punched one into each, running the cables outside the oven. True, you can only use one at a time, but you can switch back and forth to monitor each one individually. It turns out that one reached the proper temp 20 minutes before the other. With this setup, each one was done to perfection. I love it! I've ordered extra probes to be able to monitor a bunch of items being cooked at the same time. Oh, and that wireless convenience? SUPER! My outside BBQ grill is a ways away from my kitchen. It doesn't matter with this unit! I can drop my 1 1/2" steaks on the grill and take the receiving unit up to my home office. It alerts me when the meat hits the exact temperature I want. It's easy to program and use. I'm now buying them as Xmas gifts for my special friends. Definitely the one to buy! ### ⭐ 555 degress? The first time I used this I had a sudden spike in the temperature readout that went to 555 degrees, nothing I could do could stop the alarm from going off... I ended up using the backup probe that came with it and it reset and corrected the temp. My second time I used it... it happened again. This time however neither probe would stop the alarm... I even turned off the transmitter and pushed the rest button on the back of the digital receiver..... it said the temp was 555 degrees and the alarm would not shut off. I did not give the company an opportunity to send me a new one...
