His eyes lit up when he saw it. The leather is genuine and the inside is cedar except for the top which is fake suede cover cardboard, but it still looked good. Was disappointed since the humidor kept falling out, but I put a little double-sided tape on it and it seems to stay well, besides you have to remove it every so often to fill it with liquid. The inside is not seasoned so you have to take a few hours/days prior to use to properly condition the case. Just wish I could have had it personalized prior to delivery, I will have to find someplace to have that done later on. ### ⭐⭐ A Lot to Pay for a Cheap Box *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2013* Cheap leather encases this poorly constructed box with a clasp that won't shut. Possibly good enough to bury a bird in, but not if the bird was liked. As much as I love Amazon's excellent customer service is not as much as I loath the practice of running inflated prices, then slashing them in half or less, making it appear to be a great value on a piece of crap that wouldn't get ten cent's in a real shop. AMAZON, can't you control this unethical practice??!! This is a great starting point for a first time humidor user. The construction was pretty good but of course is is not the highest quality. I didn't buy this with the intention of use for travel just to get my husband to start learning about how to properly use humidors.
