Review: Classic pencils - My son asked for these as a Christmas gift because his brother keeps stealing his pencils. Apparently he's going to hide the box and take them out one at a time so the sibling can't pinch them. Whilst I admire his plan I really feel he's investing too much thought into this situation. High quality and good value pencils in a plastic free box!

**Q: Are the pencils ready sharpened?**
A: Yes, and they sharpen up again well after blunting.

**Q: Are these made in China? is that what ' factories in the Far East' means?**
A: I am not 100% if this particulr item is made in China as such but as most goods these days are made there most probably is the case.

**Q: Do erasers actually work?**
A: The eraser is designed to eraser pencil only.

**Q: In the HB grade, is it 1hb 2hb 3hb etc all the way to 12hb (which hb are in each one)**
A: If I remember rightly from my days in stationery harder lead is numbered as H numbers and softer as B numbers. HB is medium and most popular. I like a fairly soft for crosswords etc. so buy 2B
