I'll usually take one and put it under some cold water and squeeze it out and then when I'm outside I'll use it to cool myself off and it works well like that. The material is adequate, I've washed and dried mine with no problem and also I will hand wash and wring them out sometimes too and they still have retained their color and work just like your average everyday bandana. I happen to like the set of colors this one has because you don't see tan that much in Bandana.
