First one was for my mom, second as a gift for an elderly friend in rehab, third a new one for my mom again. This is really the best product since sliced bread. My mom (88 years old) has back problems so she can't hold her head near to the plate when eating. Regular napkins kept sliding down despite my best efforts to tuck them in around her neck. As a result she ruined a lot of blouses and sweaters (some stains just don't come out). After I got her the Decked Out Daddy bib (blue color), this situation was remedied. Like other reviewers noted, mom was initially resistant to wearing the bib in public but relented when I reminded her of all the ruined clothes. My comment "What would you prefer, wearing this nice bib -- which really looks like an apron -- while you eat, or walking around in public with all those grease stains on your blouse, sweater and slacks?" She couldn't argue with this logic. I keep one in the car and take it with us when we eat out. My new one is for traveling. Fit is great. Covers her entire torso and lap and can be kept loose or cinched tight around the neck (especially useful when eating soup or "crumby" food). Once mom even spilled an entire 16 ounce soft drink on her lap. I groaned when this happened, expecting soaked slacks, shoes and socks. To my surprise, the liquid (and ice cubes) were all captured in her lap in the "bowl" created by the bib (she sits in a wheelchair with her feet slightly raised in the footrests). I carefully lifted the bib by its four corners and was able to pour the contents in a wastebasket (at the food court). Amazingly, not a drop of liquid had dribbled over the edges or leaked through the waterproof material! The bib has more than payed for itself! Oh, and did I mention that it looks great? Once its on, you really can't notice that she's wearing it at all. Most of the time I put a napkin on top of the bib -- to protect the bib! That way I don't have to wash it as much. But it washes great (delicate cycle with air drying). As an elder caregiver this bib is probably the most useful item on my toolbelt! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bib I’ve Tried *by S***2 on Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2019* I’ve purchased at least 5 of these bibs. I’ve tried several other types, including disposable types, but these are the best for me. I am large breasted, and have hand tremors, so spills happen and that is a problem. These bibs are light weight, easy to put on, adjust, and take off. I just ordered 2 new bibs, and the lining looks and feels like it’s a little heavier and stiffer than the older ones. Maybe because the new ones are waterproof. These are still lighter and more comfortable that anything else I’ve tried. These bibs are easy to wash and dry. Do not let your cat play with the string. Cats can crunch the bead that slides along the string to adjust the fit - rendering it useless. Dogs chewed them to get at crumbs.
