I decided that I'd need to spend more money for a better lock but was unable to find any currently manufactured versions that I liked or that would fit in a similar manner...until I found this one. I purchased it in early Summer 2021 and have been in salt and fresh water with it and, so far, it's holding up well. It took some extra handling to install but if you follow directions it should fit well. Time will tell as to its ability to outlast the elements for more than a year or two.
