Review: Early review but looking good - I recently had mice, sounded like elephants, running around in my loft space so traps set with recommend bait, peanut butter was one that had worked well before, no luck. In desperation I decided to splash out on these sonic deterrents. Fastened them in the loft and waited, two days past thought I had wasted my money on the third night not a sound that was about 14 days ago and not a sound not even in this foul weather which normally drives them in. Four stars at the moment five stars if it lasts the winter. Has no effect on my pets.

**Q: Does this affect hedgehogs?**
A: I contacted the manufacturers and they said they had not tested for that situation but could not rule it out. The hedgehog I'd overwintered left home.
This product does work against rats and mice. You have to choose which you want. At the time this area was inundated with rats, local farmland being disturbed for HS2. I have now switched them off in the hope that the hedgehogs will return.

**Q: Is it heavy enough to withstand heavy winds if left on a table?**
A: Mo it would need to be tied to something it would blow away

**Q: Are these devices silent?**
A: The repellent is silent. Not much point in sending a video.

**Q: Just bought this, how do I get into it to put the batteries in! I’ve unscrewed all the screws but I can’t get the back off**
A: There are six screws I think. Just take them out and prise the plastic base off with a small screwdriver or knife and the base will come off and you can put the batteries in. Hope this helps.

Yes the device immits a high pitch sound which is slightly uncomfortable on my human ears. It does not appear to be deterring rats at all. I have this device set up at the entry point used by the rats and the rats are 100% still entering an causing huge issues. I would also say the device is not very good outdoors at all. One device was immediately written off with some rain within an hour of its first use. Packaging does state its suitable for garden use and has an IP rating. False. The item is also very small and cheap feeling.
