## Description

This heavy-duty tamper resistant rat bait station from Mastertrap is the ideal solution for rat infestations. The station is made from strong, durable plastic for long life and can be used both outdoors and indoors. Dual entry allows rodents to come in from either side while keeping pets and children safe from gaining access. The station can hold two snap rat traps or your choice of poison at the same time. Each station comes with two rat traps, a removable tray for holding loose bait, and rod for block or pasta bait. (Poison sold separately) How to use 1. Place the snap traps inside the bait station as shown in the product listing. Try setting each trap before baiting to get a better understanding of the trap. 2. Bait the trap using a small amount of peanut butter, chocolate or nuts in the bait trough in the middle of the trap. You can use a tool to bait so that your scent is not transferred onto the trap. 3. To set, pull back the kill bar until it clicks and the trap locks in place. You may have to do this slowly until the pedal levels out. Please note When setting the traps you should only do so on a firm and even surface as the trigger pedal must be able to level itself. This also helps to prevent the traps from accidentally triggering. Please note that you should not test trigger the trap without there being something to dampen the striking bar, as this could otherwise distort or permanently destroy the trap. Review: Best trap I have had - I was so pleased with the first one I bought another one. We are in the fortunate/unfortunate position of having a cat who is a very good ratter. He is well known in our area for it. Unfortunately he likes to bring his "friends" into the house, through the cat flap, and then loses interest in them whether they are dead or not. This has led to an awful not of distress on our part but this trap has helped no end. I have been setting just one of the two traps inside the box, baited with chocolate. As rats can be quite large, I find one trap in the box to be the best. I then set the other trap close by to the box. Emptying the box is as easy as using the key to open it (outside) and then releasing the sprung trap and tipping the body into a bin bag. As most kills are completely clean there is no need to wash the trap afterwards, but a rinse under an outside tap serves that purpose well. Also because the trap is inside the box there is no chance of the cat hurting himself on it. I never bait with poison because of the cat and the smell of chocolate is a major lure to a rat.

**Q: What size are the entrance holes please? I am concerned that a squirrel may get in partially or a cat might put its paws/leg in there. Many thanks.**
A: a rat going in yes a squirrel no way cant see a cats paw going in we have 2 cats next 
door no problem with them we have bought two traps and caught3 we have squirrels coming into garden 
if I thought traps would harm animals I wouldn,t have them hope this is helpful

The trap works well but unfortunately some birds manage to get caught in the trap and the whole purpose is that no other animals get killed by the tunnel trap. After 2 months the traps fell apart and i had to buy New ones.
