However my mail goal was to protect the wood planter that i just made so it can withstand elements, I used a small piece of cloth to apply and that was fairly easy. The stain flows like water so small drips were not easy to avoid. Most bare woods will suck up a lot of stain so make sure to keep in mind when ordering.
