The brush is a lot softer than anything I have used before, but the fibres are so dense that it doesn't feel as if there is any reduction in its cleaning ability, in fact, I can honestly say that, my teeth have only ever felt this clean after a visit to the dentist. It is also really good for massaging the gums (as part of her system) and doesn't scratch or make them sore which I had previously experienced with my ordinary toothbrush. Obviously it is more expensive that a toothbrush you'd buy in a supermarket or chemist, but its worth it.
