When my cousin gave me Ocean (beta), he came with long, red worm-like food, but I noticed that when I fed him he was having trouble eating them, and most (if not all) of the food would then sink to the bottom. So I would have to feed him slowly, one by one and I would have to watch and make sure that he actually ate, so that he wouldn’t end up starving, but now he has no issues with eating at all; though sometimes he tries to jump at the food which causes him to miss, so when that happens the food will occasionally start floating away and then get caught up in the filter, but the food doesn’t really sink. Sometimes it’ll fall down a little bit, but then it’ll slowly float back up, or he’ll chase it down and gulp it up real quick lol but he really loves this food. His color also got a lot brighter and that didn’t really take too long to happen, but if there’s any uneaten pieces, make sure to get them out of the tank. After a few minutes or so they’ll swell up and I don’t want him, or any other fish, to try and eat it and end up choking on it or anything.
