She will take them off and throw them, take them off and chew on them, etc. But always take them off after we put them on. Before this pair we used under armor tennis shoes and as soon as I would latch the velcro she would bend down and rip it back off. With these shoes (the new balance) she keeps them on. There's no issues with her pulling on the velcro and trying to take them off. She loves these shoes. She will go get them and bring them to put them on. They are also super cute. Great shoes for trying to start regular shoe wearing for walking. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Size up *by C***Y on December 11, 2020* My girl wears a 6 1/2 extra wide almost 7 extra wide in Stride Rite and the 7.5 wide worked for her perfect. There is a small amount of toe room for growth but not too much but I almost think if I would have went with a 8 wide they might have been a little too big and uncomfortable to walk in so, ultimately I'm happy with the size I went with she said they were comfortable right away and they were easy to put on.Update to add we now are in a size 8 wide and very happy with these shoes will be continue to buy more as she grows. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Shoe is Perfect! *by S***N on October 10, 2021* This Shoe is an awesome fit! Our precious Michael has Myotonic Dystrophy and has to wear splints on his legs/feet and the shoes have to be wider to compensate for them! Of Course as he gets bigger, so do the splints.These New Balance shoes in X-wide compensate for the splints! It makes a perfect fit! Only wish there were more colors in the X-wide!
