## Description

This Square D Pumptrol 9013FSG2J21 electromechanical pressure switch with 30-50 psi pressure setting range activates an electrically driven water pump within a power circuit when the adjustable rising and falling thresholds are reached. The NEMA 1 enclosure has a 1/4" NPSF internal fluid connection and screw clamp terminals. The switch works with a 1. 5 hp or less pump. The adjustable differential range is 15-30 psi and the cut-out range is 20-65 psi. The cover is black. The enclosure is National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Type 1 and Ingress Protection (IP) 20 rated. The switch is Underwriters Laboratory (UL) Listed and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Certified. Square D Pumptrol pressure switches are manufactured by Schneider Electric.

Review: Same as old one I replaced. Took 30 mins to install. - Worked great, easy install. Saved hundreds by doing it myself. Old one started failing after 32 years of use. Decided to get the same one to replace it.
Review: Excellent replacement - I have no idea how long the original switch had been in use (I bought my house in 2013) but the switch failed in 2019, the contact points just fell apart. Replacing it with this was flawless and exceedingly easy. I would highly recommend searching on Youtube for a video replacing your switch. Take a pic of the old switch's wiring set up before you disconnect, and make sure you shut off the breaker to the switch/pump before you start working. After connecting and restarting the pump, it has worked flawlessly and gives a nice consistent pressure to the entire house. We can flush the toilet, run the washer and take a shower with no drop in water pressure now, which I assume we had the drop previously because the old switch was starting to fail. In any event, excellent value, excellent product and very fast delivery. Installation took less than 10 minutes.

**Q: does it come pre-set at 30-50?**
A: It sure does.  Cut-in 30psi and Cut-out 50psi.

**Q: Will this switch shut the pump down if the pressure gets extremely low (like with a broken pipe)?  Not looking for that feature**
A: It is a pressure switch that turns off when pressure is reached and turns on when the pressure drops. the pump will run on with low pressure

**Q: Can I adjust the settings for it to turn on and off at 25 and 45 psi?**
A: Yes, 25 - 45 psi is within parameters for this switch.  See link for instructions below

**Q: Does the lever switch on the side of the unit disable the pressure control and allow the pump to run?**
A: The one I got does not have a lever switch on the side.

When my water pressure started fluctuating in pressure and temperature swings, research led me to believe that the cause of the problem was a faulty pressure switch. I first was going to buy this at my local hardware store, but by buying from Amazon, I saved myself an astounding $24. Say whaaat?! Low and behold, switching the pressure switch only seemed to have made the fluctuating worse. So that wasn't the issue. The issue ended up being the water tank itself. What do you expect when you have absolutely no experience? Exactly. Oh well. I will say though that I do love this switch over the one I replaced because the old one - every time I lost power, I had to walk up to the pump house and manually refill the tank - so the fact that this one is automatic is absolutely wonderful! It was indeed preset to the 30 - 50 as it was described as. Install was a piece of cake, and I'm very happy with this purchase, especially since I replaced my water tank as well. The water pressure is a constant steady stream now and the temperature swings have all disappeared. Woot-woooot!
