Grant V probably figured this out already, and maybe the hard way. **Q: Is this just for generators?** A: No, it goes from 30 amp twist lock to 30 amp rv, I used on generator twist lock to 30 amp rv cord.. **Q: Can i use this to connect a 30amp rv cord to a 2nd 30amp rv cord, and use them as one long cord?** A: It depends on your shorepower outlet type, cord end prongs style and the shorepower inlet type because this simply is an adapter to change a 30amp tristlock outlet to a RV style 30amp outlet meaning that it is a twistlock male on one side and a three prong (non twistlock) female on the other side. Two RV 30amp cords should be able to plug together without an adapter if they are both either twistlock or both standard RV style plugs on the cord ends!
