This multi-faceted cast of an adult skull can be disassembled in a few simple steps into the skull base, skull roof and lower jaw. Details such as fissures, foramina, processus and seams have been anatomically correct. Even subtleties such as the cranial sutures in the eye sockets are depicted realistically and thus enable a detailed study of the skull anatomy for beginners and advanced users. In comparison to other models, the lower jaw used is not only removable but also movable to represent chewing movements anatomically correctly. There are a few holes that look different than some pictures I've seen. For the money this is a very well detailed model. **Q: can you remove the top part of the skull to see inside specifically the ethmoid bone, foramens, greater and lesser wings???** A: Yes, the top of the skull is magnetic, and the mandible is also removable **Q: Are all teeth separated or fused/connected together?** A: Separate from each other but fused to the skull **Q: where is it made?** A: Can't tell where it's made. While it may not have every single fossa, it does have every major fossa (especially important for Cranial nerves, insertion points, and blood flow) that was covered, and if the fossa wasn't present, an indentation was at least made to indicate that there was some significance associated.For its price, and its great accuracy, this one of the best anatomical representations of the skull (compared it to the ones offered in our lab), not to mention affordable. I was annoyed that I had to buy it for my art class but I don't regret it. Great quality, easy to take apart and put back together. Just be careful when you take the "cap" off to not break the pegs. It does have magnets in there as well for added security. The jaw is held together by a hinge and stays secure.
