I bought one exactly like the one I had, which was a 300 CD exchanger. Sony no longer sells this type. I hooked the exchanger in place of the one I had and it worked wonderfully, I was extremely pleased. the outer casing was in very good shape as well. I also received a pack of audio cables and a remote. Since I had one I had the original remote for the device. The seller stated the item just as it was. I appreciate that and if I had to I would buy from them again.

**Q: how can i get my cds out cdp-cx355 mega storage compact disc 300 cd changer player door will not open**
A: Remove the cover of the unit.  It's easily done.  Nothing is attached to the cover.  Once the cover is removed all the cds are accesssible. The door is to keep the dust out. You can manually open it.

**Q: Does this need speakers in addition to the unit?  Or can I just plug it in to the wall socket and press play?**
A: This is like a turntable.  You still need an Amplifier & Speakers to hear the CD's.

**Q: The carosel will not rotate, is locked up. Just makes a loud huming sound. Any ideas?**
A: Belt fell off and is probably too old and stretched. A new belt needs to be installed. The humming is the carousel drive motor spinning with no belt.

**Q: what year was this unit manufactured?
How do i use your 1 year warranty?**
A: On the back of the changer is the manufacturing date and serial # of the unit.

My Sony 200 CD jukebox, had begun skipping irregularly when playing CDs. Scratches had nothing to do with skipping. The unit itself was 17 years old at the time I undertook a fix/replacement. I took my unit to a local repair shop and was told it needed a new reader/laserhead, but could not be repaired because the shop was unable to find and buy new laser heads. (More COVID lies/BS courtesy of our government?) So, I found this Sony 300 CD jukebox in a “renewed” condition, w/an original remote control, and it works fine.
