Stitching in these places are normally overlooked, and I'm not gentle with my things. Yet still, after repeted use, all of the stitching in every place has held fast. I'm quite amazed. That being said, I do have a few complaints. It took me a long time to figure out the method to strap it. And when I do that, I don't get the pinch of the XL. My recommendation would be to buy both and return one.
