No issues with cover itself, but seat base on the 97 XP is very dense and hard. Electric stapler just bent staples. Hand no better. Bought a pneumatic and still only half the staple ends penetrated, but enough to get the job done.(found that heating the base with a hair dryer softened it enough to allow good stapling) I took the time to seal the seams with tent seam sealer prior to installing. The XP original cover is bonded to the foam so I had to install the new over the old. Since the old had some splits, I used duct tape to cover the damage, but this did not completely hide the faults. (The new cover is flexible enough to allow the defects to show through when looked at from the right angle) All in all, the process went well and the seat looks 100 times better. How it stands up will take some time to know. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Material looks awesome, stitching is awesome *by R***. on June 9, 2015* Arrived just as pictured color wise. The cover went on without a hitch. I set the seat and cover out in the sun to soften a bit and make it easier to work. By the time i was done, I had a TON of extra fabric. Not sure if they started making a few extra inches around everything or what it was with the other customer, but there definitely was a lot of fabric to grip, pull and staple. I cut around 4" off when I was done. To start: make sure you align the from and back with the small center holes, stretch and staple near the holes. Then gradually go around and stretch evenly, stapling as you go. Stainless Steel Staples are preferred, but seeing how cheap this was to buy, if you replaced this every several years from wear and tear, the staples might be okay using zinc coated.Material looks awesome, stitching is awesome. cover looks awesome when done. Really give an older seadoo a new look.The reason why I am choosing to give the cover a 4 star is because I have questions on the material. After I was done the material had picked up dirt and marked up really easy from the installation process. I got everything out with a cleaner with some decent rubbing, but i just did not see that happening right away. I think the best idea here would be to put a plastic/vinyl/leather protector on the seat immediately after you are done.I would definitely buy from black tips for my other PWC's! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nicely built seat Cover. *by R***B on January 11, 2017* Fit great and hold up well.
