Like other reviewers have said, it does have a strong order upon opening, but it goes away after washing. The reason for the 3 star rating is that it stains very easily. My son wore this for his farm themed 1st birthday, and the vanilla frosting left stains. I rinsed the bib immediately after use, but it still stained. Not even Oxyclean could get it out.
