My only complaint is that the screws that hold the end caps on were loose and one was just rattling around in the box, but for the price compared to others on the market it is great. I only gave 3 stars due the fact that i had to walk to the junk drawer and do somebody elses job and tighten the screws. As for longevity of the product i don't know yet. Light is not a complete hood light. It is just the inside parts of a hood light. it does not just simply mount on the top of your tank. I've been in the fresh water and marine tank hobby for over 15 years and this is by far the worst described and most unsafe light I have ever seen.
