Review: It is better if you leave the umbrella up all the time. - The umbrella arrived first, followed by the base. Base and umbrella don’t fit together, unless you remove the round, black plastic objects, which normally secures the pole to the base pole. Also when cranking up, I often have to untangle the umbrella. I’ve left mine up now, over my hot tub and it dies the job perfectly. It’s waterproof and also an excellent sunshade, which looks good.
