It's not heavily perfumed or scented like a lot of soaps, which I liked, and I was hopeful it would help with some of the hyperpigmentation issues I have had. Unfortunately I guess my skin was more sensitive than anticipated, as after only two uses, I noticed patches of red rash on my neck (where I was primarily using the soap), and I had to stop using immediately. It had a nice lather and left a nice clean feeling when using, but if you are prone to skin problems, you may want to avoid. I did like everything else about it so I did not want to rate low stars. It may work better for many other people.
