I wasn’t really happy with the feel of them when I first got them. My hands were rough from working in the garden and they seemed to snag on the fibers. But after my hands got better the towels felt better. So, as long as my hands are soft they feel nice and soft.When I got them I put them in the wash but noticed that you should not use fabric softener when you dry them. Don’t know how much of a problem this would be for people that use fabric softener. I didn’t use any softener and there was a lot of static cling, but that did go away eventually.I originally ordered them to take to the beach. The large size makes for a great beach towel and rolls up nicely to fit in the mesh carry case. They have an odd feeling, nothing like a regular towel that is thick and have substance. It takes some getting used to but once you get past that, it is great. It packs up nice and small and doesn’t take up much space. The mesh bag is a nice touch. I like that it is lightweight and perfect for my kids to use during swimming lessons. The set is perfect with the large one for the body and the smaller one for the head and my daughters' long hair. Now I don’t have to carry two bulky towels that hang out of my bag.
