Probably 8 years. I have always used the same one until mine chipped when I hit it on a faucet, so when I saw this Neti-pot I thought, well, a bit pricey, but it looks really nice. I must say I am very happy that I ordered it. The Neti-pot has no holes where water can sit inside and the spout is very comfortable, slimmer, but the water flows more easily than my old one. It is perfect and even with out a handle, very easy to hold. I ordered the color Jade and it is almost exactly like the picture. I searched extensively for a product that was lead free, and made in the USA, and was very pleased to find the Baraka Ceramic Neti Pot. Although it is priced higher than similar products, it is worth every penny. It is nice to have a product that is lead free, especially for the manner in which it was used. The capacity is more than enough to dissolve sinus rinse packets in. Initially, it took my son a couple of tries and re-positioning of his head, but it worked great once he got the hang of it. I also like the fact that it is easy to clean, and doesn't have nooks/crannies/hollow handles that would make it difficult to clean.
