You are not locating a sewer line you are picking up where the ground is excavated. You will be able to locate anything that is buried. I use a set of welding rods and use them regularly to locate underground utilities. They are definitely 50/50.- **Q: They are not the same length. Do I return them?** A: That's strange and sorry about this issue.
