I keep the tank set at 150 deg with a 120 deg mixing valve at the tank. Review: DO NOT BUY THIS - WILL NOT BE WARRANTIED - Inner coil failed 2 1/2 years in. This company NOR HTP would honor the “lifetime” warranty, playing one against another. It does come with the wall. **Q: Does this need its own dedicated power? Or does it feed of of the boiler?** A: It needs hot water from boiler, no dedicated power is needed. **Q: Do you need a mixing valve on the domestic side or does the aqua stat work alone?** A: Ideally you want a mixing valve so you can set the tank temp high enough to kill bacteria (and increase capacity), but without one it works just like any other water heater. **Q: Is this compatible with an oil furnace?** A: Yes as long as the oil or gas furnace is heating the water as this is only a hot water holding tank. If your current hot water tank has an oil/gas burner attached to it this is not what you're looking for. DO NOT BUY THIS HERE. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great with one caution... *by H***O on July 4, 2018* Bought one local as my 20 year old Superstor 30 started leaking. Port locations are similar to the old unit but I had to totally replumb because the original one was not installed with shutoffs.Works very well with a downsized Reillo producing 110K and only a 3/4" boiler feed. It's a 50% increase in hot water capacity but only about a 20% hit on increased energy usage with an additional 30% time to heat from cold and that's on cold well water. The only thing I caution is that the threads on the stainless ports are very shallow and extra care needs to be taken with respect to taping the threads.
