It took less than 5 minutes to fill up with the pump at around 5 PSI, which honestly is all I needed. I guess you can go higher but it was very firm and I felt it wasn't necessary. Backpack could be a little better built. I probably wouldn't venture too far with it because it is a bit flimsy (thin). The only thing this board is really missing is a handle in the middle. You will not be able to carry this board by wrapping it under your arms like a surfboard, and it really needs that handle for comfortable carrying. If your carrying it short distance, you can awkwardly carry it with both hands, or balance it on your head. This is the primary reason I am giving this board 4 stars. Wanted to keep it under $500 bucks because hey, I'm 54, 5-10 and 210#...not doing any yoga or crazy stuff. Just want a board I can throw off the pontoon and go exploring or sit on tethered. Board came in a thick box with all the accessories and I immediately unpacked and blew it up with the pump. As with other reviews, the last 30-50 pumps on the oversize pump supplied is a f$%king workout! WTF!?? Pumped it up to 15 lbs and let me tell you, this thing is as solid as cured concrete..it's also HUUUUUGE!. There were a few creases that will probably work out where it was folded, but everything looks like the pictures on AMAZON. The color is bright and the non-slip is, well, non slip. The bungie cords are cheap, but I only paid $259 for it so no biggie. If you're looking for a nice board cheap, then look here. They do have other colors, but I wanted simple and clean. Now I have to find some board mounts for my pontoon.
