The adjustable focal length is a major advantage over all the others...especially since some of the other goggles are rendered useless simply because they are so far out of focus with no way to adjust them. I actually would have given this particular brand a five star rating, but the one flaw in the design (for my phone) is that the phone retention clips are situated such that one of them depresses my volume button and interferes with that function. I could not figure out what was going on for the longest time, but I finally resolved the issue by inserting my phone into the magazine in an upside down position....which is a nuisance because some cardboard apps don't automatically invert the picture. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Just Okay *by P***Y on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2016* Purchased this for my son. It is nice quality and does allow for the VR experience. Only downside is that it does not allow much user interaction, which is ideally what was desired. Have tried tons of apps, even purchased several. But in order to do interaction you need to remove phone from the holder, do your interaction and slide it back in. Description needs to be edited to show this is a VIEWER not a player. So that others due not make the same mistake I did. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars The newer VR box is better, however be warned that some google cardboard apps ... *by A***T on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2016* This is the old version of the VR-box cardboard goggles. It has a relatively narrow field of view, and it lacks both a side (capacitive touch) button, AND a bluetooth controller (although the controller can be purchased separately). This means there is no way to control or interact with the phone while it's in the viewer. The newer VR box is better, however be warned that some google cardboard apps (and iPhones) may work better with a viewer that has a button (such as the Mattel viewmaster. You can buy a separate bluetooth controller and have the best of both worlds).
