It is extremely soft, the tag is on the outside and I believe the zinc oxide is soothing. However, the fabric is very, very thin. This presented a problem when I attempted to use the fold over mittens. The fabric is so thin that he scratched himself bloody right through the mitten. The snaps on the leg areas are too widely spaced causing his leg to sneak through the spaces somehow.
