Eroica LX Low Level Moving Coil Cell - Diamond Gyger II, Goldring is a company specialized in the manufacture of audio equipment founded in 1906 by the Scharf brothers. They began manufacturing phonographs in Berlin, Germany, including the "Juwel Electro Soundbox" created and marketed in 1926. The company moved to England in 1933 and continued to manufacture cells and turntables. The Goldring logo is an indication of quality. In 1954, they released the Goldring 500 magnetic cell. International successes followed one another with the Goldring 600, then with the Goldring 700.

- Introducing the Eroica LX: The Eroica LX is a true audiophile moving-coil cartridge featuring the famous Gyger II diamond stylus profile. A nude, fine-line elliptical type with a 6 µm lesser radius, it gives smooth, extended highs, low distortion and reproduces a highly detailed and dynamic sound.
- Efficient Magnetic Circuit: Using a neodymium (NdFeB), rare-earth, permanent magnet; the strongest type commercially available, it shortens the magnetic circuit in the cartridge but still achieves the required field strength in the pole shoe gap. The overall mass of the cartridge has been reduced to help improve trackability and make it compatible with a wider range of tonearms.
- Low mass Pocan body: This cartridge uses a strong one-piece body made from a special type of ultra-rigid, glass reinforced polyester called Pocan. Because Pocan has a high strength-to-mass ratio, the overall mass is kept below 6.0 g. Low mass keeps the natural arm/cartridge resonance within safe limits for easy matching to a wide range of tonearms and improves trackability.
- Expert Adjustment: This MC cartridge has been designed to allow micro-adjustments during production. 日本製、海外製(中国製を除く)問わず、有名ブランドのカートリッジの価格の高騰を残念に思っていますが、仕方がないのででょうね。そう言いつつも、近年、カートリッジを１０機種購入しました。 とても良い音です♪ パワフル(所有の５種類のＭＣカートリッジの中でも最も音圧が大きい) Amazonで６月２２日に発注しました。その時の価格は￥84,800でした。発注から２２日目に届きました。梱包形態については良いです。 音質については、丁度良く耳障りにならずに伸びる高域、キレのある低域、そして厚みのある中域と言った感じの音質であり、ＭＣカートリッジらしい良さを感じられます。どのジャンルの音楽でもそれなりにキレイに鳴らすと思います。ハム音等のノイズは感じられず、サーフェスノイズも抑えられており、左右チャンネルのセパレーションも良好で、出力も大きく、電気的特性と言うか聴感特性と言うべきか、悪くないと思いました。 ただし、付属のネジの長さが、標準的なシェルの厚みに対し、短くて使い物になりませんでした。1.5mmほど長いネジと、ステンレスワッシャーを所有していたので、それらを使いました。添付写真をご覧ください。
