**Q: Isn't this blender less powerful than the cheaper version (waring mbb518)  on amazon?  1/2 hp (372.85 watts) vs. 390 watts**
A: I have had two waring blenders and was happy with them until I started trying to mix smoothies. They burned out and I resorted to the nutribullet. Less money but seams to be more powerful and I will not go back to waring

**Q: Is this tempered glass**
A: It is very sturdy, do not know if it is tempered.

**Q: I ordered this item for a restaurant.  the blender itself doesnt have anything about nsf certification but the description says it is.  any idea why?**
A: This is a great blender..I use it for margaritas .. home use !
