This includes those in use with my PC, my wall charger and in my truck...arguably the most hostile environment for so fragile an accessory. But the single most telling criterion is the continuous function of the cable I gave to my 5 y/o grandchild for use with an ipad. Kids don't care about only pulling the plug and not the wire. I cringe every time I see it plugged into the electrically reclining sofa where it is constantly being pinched between frame and cushion. These cables have outperformed those braided cables no matter whether the shield is metal or nylon. They are deceptively rugged and have negligible time penalties when charging with the longer cables. I not only recommend these cables, I'm considering gifting them to friends and family.
