I know a thing or two about what makes a good supplement and what makes a bad one. If you're reading this review, chances are you've already realized that most multivitamins are a complete waste of money, that higher than RDA doses of vitamin C can literally work miracles for the human body and that not all ascorbic acid is created equal. For acutely ill patients his recommendations go as high as 100,000 mg per day or more. A good rule of thumb is to start small and increase the dose until you find your own "bowel tolerance" or the point at which you begin to have softer or looser stools as a result. My personal tolerance (as a very healthy 39 y/o woman) is somewhere between 8,000-10,000 per day. Be aware that pure, un-encapsulated C in this form is VERY tart! I love to put it in smoothies with flavors that compliment it, like orange or raspberry extract with some monkfruit to make it like an orange julius. Just don't be shocked when you take it. See a side by side picture with this and another crystal form C I just finished using up. This is like powdered sugar and the other like granulated sugar in consistency. This kind mixes so much better! My only complaint about this specific brand is that while they included a scoop which I REALLY appreciate, the scoop handle is WAY too long for the container! I can barely get it back inside even when digging a significant hole for it. That's not a big deal though. You can always cut the handle or just use your own 1/4 tsp. I really couldn't be happier with the quality and sourcing of this powder and I use it multiple times per day every day! You won't be sorry if you buy this. It's really the best your money can get! **Q: How do you store this and how long can you keep it?   I am thinking about making my own vitamin c serum for skin which uses very little bit at a time. A: Hello and thank you for your question, this product is good for 3 years in the unopened package. Once it's opened it keeps well if you avoid exposing it to heat, humidity or light. You will know if the product is still good if it stays white. Once the product turns yellow it has become oxidized and has lost it's anti-oxidant properties. It's hard to give a precise amount of time because the humidity and heat factors are so variable. In good conditions I would say easily several months from experience. I've seen it stay white once opened for more than 6 months to a year. A tablespoon is usually 3-4 grams from what's normally commercially available. This powder is much finer so depending on how much it is compressed it could vary but will generally take 50-100% more volume to reach the same weight. So you might want to double the recipe requirements. The best thing would be to weigh it and use 4 grams to meet your 1 tsp requirement. It will definitely dissolve faster and better than anything you've used before.

**Q: Can you please show or provide a link of a 3rd party lab certification verifying that the powder is actually non GMO?**
A: The product is certified by the manufacturer with traceability to the farmers and their cornfields. GMOs are not allowed in Scotland where the corn is grown so there is no danger of contamination. I have requested that the manufacturer get in touch with the non gmo verified project to obtain their certification, but you should know that even their recognition is not a test nor guarantee as GMOs are not detectable in the final product. The people that are non GMO project verified have only had their facilities verified and signed a charter stating they take all possible precautions to avoid contamination. You should be weary of proximity of farm lands to GMO crops.

**Q: Does this contain magnesium, potassium, or calcium?**
A: Label states "100% pure ascorbic acid" pharmaceutical grade no other ingredients made in the UK.

This C powder is fine. It has a tart taste, but not to bad. I mix it with orange juice, zinc 2 x a day. Been through several containers. Bummed to see its out of stock again and they don't know when they will get it back in stick. Last time it went out, it came back with less ounces for same price. Hope it comes back at same amount and at least the same price. I take about 4 to 5 thousand milligrams a day. Has kept me healthy. Update: I have bought this many times over the last 3 years. Each time it goes out of stock and comes back, the price jumps. I paid 24.99 the very first time I ordered it and it was double the size. Then it went to 29.94 and the size went to half of what it wad. Then I bought it at $31 or $34 the next couple times. Then it was out of stock and now it's over $44. I realize things are going up. But if it goes up any more I will have to change to a diff brand, although not as good, I won't have a choice. It's getting way to expensive
