It doesn't really dry as it remains pliable like rubber. I would however heed the suppliers advice and try not to apply it below 5c/40f if possible. **Q: Approximately how many square feet will one 5 gallon bucket cover?** A: 100-125sq ft at a 60mil thickness. Bought 5, 5gal buckets to do 580sq ft of foundation and had about 1/2 gallon left over at an average of 60mil thickness. **Q: Question for anyone who sealed their basement from the inside. Has it held up against water leaks?** A: Yes so far... make sure you get every nook and cranny! I am a woman and this is my first house so I felt confused as the house didn't appear flooded. I came across this product and I painted it around the foundations of the house on the exterior, where was previously sealant that was in poor condition dry and peeling off. After I painted it the next day I woke up and went to have a look. On the side of my house was suddenly a large pool of water because it rained and I realised that this water which I never noticed before was probably going under my house and that is what I smelled. I had no clue there was a hole but applying this foundation made me realise it. Also it is evident it works very well since it didn't let through the rain under my house but kept it outside. Looks solid when dry. I applied three coats for damp proving a cupboard wall,which was suffering from rising damp. no damp seems to be registering in a damp collector I have put in the cupboard so far. The damp solution dries quite hard. Can’t understand why they call it a rubber coating!Seems to have no or very little flexibility to me.
