I tried several other brands including Lutron Caseta, but the Insteons were my favorite.Pros:• High quality construction• Excellent fit and finish• Excellent instructions are available online• The switches paired flawlessly with my Insteon Hub• Easy to customize the LED brightness• Easy to customize the fade times• Works with 3-way and 4-way switch configurations• Lights respond instantly when the button is pressed• Very simple operation using a spring-loaded rocker switch. (Much simpler than Lutron Caseta.)• Makes a satisfying click when pressed, but it's not too loud• You can change the LED colors by installing optional color pipesCons:• The instructions for installing 3-way switches are a little confusing and misleading. However, I was able to figure it out.• Make sure you have a white neutral wire available. It's required for this switch. I have neutral wires, so it wasn't a problem. However, I noticed that the Lutron Caseta switch doesn't require a neutral wire. That may be important to some people.• These are not guaranteed to work with LED lighting. Many people have had success using LED lighting with them, but they don't work with all LED bulbs. I'm using incandescent, so I didn't have an issue.In short, I purchased smart home switches from Insteon, Lutron, Leviton, and one other manufacturer (I can't remember at the moment.) The Insteons were by far my favorite. I plan on installing them throughout my house. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fun System to Use but costly and installation is challenging. *by G***N on December 22, 2017* Making the switches work with the Phone app and Alexa was very easy. Alexa control amazes people, talking to control lighting. Linking between pairs of switches in a 3Way circuit has not worked at all as instructions indicate. Very frustrating. Also the pricing differences between a white switch and the colored models is outrageous, about $20. I discovered that colored replacement switch plates can be bought separately for about $1-2. What a ripoff. I a bought an Insteon switch system about 15 years ago and they recently started going out. I discovered they were not compatible with the new versions. I ended up replacing all 13 switches in my kitchen and needing a new Hub. Doing a whole house switch replacement will be costly and installation is time consuming.I'm in the Low Voltage system business to! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Insteon systems has worked the best.
