Having said that, I don't apply veneers to topcoated surfaces. If you applied the polyurethane finish yourself, and are certain of its durability, then you might try it. But I strongly suggest that you sand it with a fine grit sandpaper first for maximum adherence. Make sure to clean really well after sanding. **Q: How does this stand up to the elements? Planning to use this on my scooter for cosmetic purposes.** A: I wouldn't recommend it for use where it could get damp since it is a natural wood product. Even if you apply a protective caot of finish the adhesive may not be immune to moisture and it could fail. **Q: Will this wrap around a curved corner of a box ?** A: It may. It is made for a straight application. However it does have some flex in where it may work for a small curve.
