Serums soak into the skin too quickly to work well for the time needed to properly massage the skin. If you want to know what oil is best used, that would depend on what your skin needs. Different oils are better for different skin concerns. Dry or dehydrated skin needs a different type of oil than oily or blemish prone skin and normal or combination skin needs yet another. Rosacea and other skin issues need other treatments. A quick google search for what type of oil is best for your skin type will get you on the right track for getting the oil that is best for you. Personally I use either squalane or rose hip oil. My skin is dehydrated combination skin. Right now it is particularly dehydrated so the more moisture the better. All that said, an extra bit of moisturizer can work as well, just as long as it is a cream moisturizer.
