I was told a retaining wall would cost me about 4k. And I just have this most ridiculous thing where I think I can do stuff I’ve never done before and overestimate my ability. Whilst also underestimating the difficulty of a task. Anyway I got a bunch of these, they were perfect. I’d advise choosing a stone you can just shovel in. I decided to go pick up 3 tons of Cornish stone and that’s a kind of ‘place carefully like you’re playing Tetris’ kind of job. It looks gorgeous, but yeah if you want to do it quickly don’t do that. I am also topping this with wood now to finish it off. I put over 100m2 mud behind them and they aren’t budging. Quick tip I learned for stability- if you don’t go higher than the depth, they will definitely not fall over. Overall this is a star buy. They are sturdy, easy to put together (I used the twirly things I forget what they’re called but they’re included) and great value. If you can find free stone you’re laughing. Until you go and collect it and realise the massive van you borrowed with a mate will still need to do 3 trips, I did fill 5x 100x50x50 baskets though. Also get them level before you fill. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect- just the job

I had NO idea which basket was a good choice, or even the slightest clue about what I was doing when I bought these. I was told a retaining wall would cost me about 4k. And I just have this most ridiculous thing where I think I can do stuff I’ve never done before and overestimate my ability. Whilst also underestimating the difficulty of a task. Anyway I got a bunch of these, they were perfect. I’d advise choosing a stone you can just shovel in. I decided to go pick up 3 tons of Cornish stone and that’s a kind of ‘place carefully like you’re playing Tetris’ kind of job. It looks gorgeous, but yeah if you want to do it quickly don’t do that. I am also topping this with wood now to finish it off. I put over 100m2 mud behind them and they aren’t budging. Quick tip I learned for stability- if you don’t go higher than the depth, they will definitely not fall over. Overall this is a star buy.
