It's basically for show, because they're never going to catch a line drive or a pop up with this glove, unless theyre a baseball savant. This glove is soft, approachable, and won't mess up your kid's hand. Worth mentioning, i ordered one in the 9" size and i was sent a 10.5" which was entirely too big for my 4 year old's hand. It was in a bag marked 9 inch, so i understand how it happened. Anyway, not sure if a one-off, so watch out for that. Swap was quick and easy. Happy with 9" glove. The mishap was on the black and white one, not the blue, if anyone cares.
