I came across this one that was made exactly the same, except that it was plastic rather than stainless steel. It was on sale for half the price of the steel one, so I decided to go with it. It is just as nice as the stainless as far as construction. Granted it won't be as durable, but I know that this thing will last many years. Perfect! This is perfect as a water bottle. It is heavy duty and tough. The paint on it hasn't chipped or come off in any way as tall and I have had it for a while. This is only for cold liquids, not hot, but I bought it strictly for water. This is a great water bottle for cold drinks. The quality is top notch. The body is a sturdy plastic with a high quality plastic lid and hard plastic straw. The price made it a must buy for me. I just purchased the grey one, as well. We’ve had it for a month and used it everyday since. Even with daily use and daily hand washing it appears like new.
