The nubby texture makes me feel like I’m scratching an itch that I can’t otherwise get to, and I enjoy it. The texture also makes it easier to clean, just rub the old wax off and sanitize. Now that I own one, I won’t be going back to single use cotton swabs for routine use. This is just better. I deducted a star for the feel, fit, and finish. While I haven’t broke or damaged it, the swab’s shaft has an overly 3D printed vibe, is flexible in a way that I feel is less durable (perhaps I’m wrong and this flexibility is intentional), and I cannot help but worry that I’m going to lose a tip down the sink drain while cleaning it. Moreover, I don’t believe the individual parts are sold for replacement, meaning you have to buy a new unit if you break it or lose a piece. They do sell a complete replacement swab assembly so you can reuse the case, but the SKU sold on Amazon has both the beauty and ear versions of the swab, which is useless and wasteful to those who ain’t purdy. Love the sustainable packaging and environmental mission.
