Then, I mix up some bleach water and wipe it down with a rag. Third, I soak it in a water and baking soda paste. I guess if you somehow got the bottom part of the bulb inverted upwards, you'd have a mess, but that is not how this plunger is designed to work. If used properly, the water will not become trapped inside the bulb. It's great on my toilet drain design which is round and a 1.6 gal flow. I bought the InterDesign one but it is too small** A: My solution was to buy a "Graff 7.95 in. x 7.08 in. Resin Planter with Saucer" at Home Depot (less than $5.00). The taper design of the planter is very important. The Korky Toilet Plunger is about 6 inches in diameter so it will rest about 1/2 way down inside and sit securely upright in the planter. This allows me to keep the Korky Toilet Plunger next to the toilet and ready for use.
