There is about a 1/2 inch of space for it to slide inside but doesn’t if you place it in the pouch. The pouch looks like it might stretch out if I use it often so I probably will not. The whole case is quite firm and especially around the edges and corners and looks like it will absorb impacts from some accidental drops. It doesn’t include a pocket to store the power supply and a mouse but the product description didn’t promise that so I give it no reduction in my rating for that (unlike some reviewers of products) It does exactly what I wanted it to do. It will protect my rather flimsy laptop.
