Review: tight seal for 22oz Hydroflask tumbler - Seal: this is a nice, tight seal for the 22oz Hydroflask tumbler. It's so tight that I can cover the hole with my finger and shake the hell out of this to mix my iced concoctions, then simply insert the straw part. Caution: it is so tight that if you fill it kinda near the top, you'll splodge out your drink if you attempt to put on the lid with the straw already attached. As others have advised, put on the lid alone first so the air has someplace to escape, then insert the straw at the end. Et voila. Plastic straw replacement: out of curiosity, I tried inserting the straw that came with my off-brand double-walled thermoses that come in a two-pack from Costco (you know, the ones with the two different types of lids) and find that those fit perfectly. Fall test: I dropped it just once to date, and it didn't break. BUT, it's probably because my tumbler itself hit the concrete, not the top part. I suspect the ones that broke maybe took the brunt--either that or the little tab part that sticks out happened to hit the ground and sheared off at that point.
